Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate Attorney for its St. Louis, MO office. The successful candidate will join a team of seasoned attorneys handling toxic tort cases and civil litigation, participating in all stages of cases and making court appearances.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of litigated claims, preparing them for trial and developing defense strategies.
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations.
• Analyze discovery, medical records, and expert defense strategies.
• Research legal issues and investigate people, businesses, and worksites.
• Draft briefs, memos, and client updates.

Requirements

• Actively licensed and in good standing with the State of Missouri.
• 7 - 10 years' experience in defense litigation; toxic tort experience preferred.
• Substantial deposition experience.
• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Client-focused mentality and ability to work independently within a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Missouri.

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in managing complex litigation cases.
