A law firm seeks a Creditors' Rights and Litigation Associate in Tampa, Florida. The ideal candidate will have over five years of experience in state court litigation, with a focus or strong interest in creditors' rights and remedies. This role involves handling various creditor-side matters, including foreclosures, replevins, real estate litigation, evictions, title proceedings, and commercial landlord/tenant disputes.

Duties

• Manage state court litigation matters involving creditors' rights, including foreclosures and replevins.
• Represent creditors in commercial litigation and advise on creditor remedies.
• Prepare and argue pleadings, motions, and other legal filings.
• Make court appearances for hearings, conferences, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive legal memoranda.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Independently manage a caseload while collaborating with the practice group.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in creditors' rights, commercial litigation, or related areas.
• Experience in state court litigation, particularly foreclosures and real estate litigation.
• Admission to The Florida Bar and applicable federal district courts.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Bankruptcy clerkship experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to The Florida Bar.

Skills

• Strong litigation skills and case management from inception to resolution.
• Ability to identify legal issues and develop strategies.
• Proficiency in preparing for and leading depositions and hearings.
