A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney in New York City, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience handling New York Municipal Claims and a proven record of successfully resolving personal injury cases. This role offers the opportunity to advance complex cases and mentor junior attorneys and staff within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Duties

• Lead and manage a caseload of complex personal injury matters from inception through resolution/verdict.
• Conduct depositions, motion practice, court appearances, mediations, and trials.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
• Strategize and execute case plans to maximize outcomes for clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.
• Contribute to firm operations, growth, initiatives, and departmental leadership.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in New York.
• Minimum 5 years litigation experience.
• Strong understanding of personal injury law and procedure.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a law firm or litigation department is a plus but not required.
• Strong organization skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice in New York.
