A law firm seeks a mid-level to senior Intellectual Property Litigation Associate to join its practice in Houston, Texas. The role involves representing clients in patent disputes across various technologies, including electronic devices and semiconductors, with opportunities to work in federal district courts, ITC, and before the PTAB.

Duties

• Analyze patents and prepare invalidity and infringement contentions.
• Develop case strategy and collaborate with technical experts.
• Draft briefs, manage discovery, and prepare witnesses.
• Take and defend depositions; contribute to hearings and trial preparation.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with colleagues.

Requirements

• Degree in computer science or electrical engineering.
• Approximately four or more years of patent litigation experience.
• Experience with district court patent litigation; PTAB or ITC experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage substantial responsibilities on complex matters.
• Licensed or eligible to become licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction.

Education
