A law firm seeks an experienced attorney in Newport Beach, CA, who understands litigation but desires a role with less traditional caseload pressure. This position is ideal for a family law or litigation attorney who enjoys client interaction, case analysis, and strategy development without the demands of trial preparation and discovery deadlines.

Duties

• Consult with prospective family law clients via phone, video, and in person.
• Quickly assess legal issues, personalities, and case complexities.
• Identify case needs and appropriate next steps using litigation experience.
• Build trust and rapport with prospective clients.
• Explain the firm's approach, attorneys, retainers, and engagement process.
• Match clients with the right litigator based on case specifics.
• Coordinate strategic consultations with firm litigators when needed.
• Guide qualified prospective clients through retention.
• Ensure a seamless handoff to the litigation team.
• Deliver a five-star client experience from the first interaction.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license.
• Prior family law or litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong legal judgment and issue-spotting ability.
• Professional and polished presence.
• Highly responsive, organized, and accountable.
• Comfortable in a performance-driven environment.
• Spanish fluency is a plus, but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active California Bar license.
