A law firm seeks a Tax Attorney in Washington, D.C. with 5-20 years of transactional and business-focused tax experience to support its Affordable Housing Practice. This role offers the opportunity to engage in sophisticated tax work with community impact and potential for leadership advancement.

Duties

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team serving developers, investors, and public entities.
• Engage in partnership tax and exempt organization/nonprofit matters.
• Contribute to projects involving private-public partnerships in housing and urban renewal.

Requirements

• 5-20 years of relevant tax experience in a law firm setting.
• Demonstrated experience with partnership tax and exempt organization matters.
• Exposure to LIHTC (Section 42) and historic and new markets tax credits is helpful.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
• LL.M. in Taxation preferred.
• Degree in accounting or finance is a plus.

Certifications

• Bar admission in good standing.
