Duties

• Manage family-based and humanitarian cases, including adjustment of status, waivers, U visas, and VAWA petitions.



• Conduct client consultations and develop case strategies, communicating fluently in Spanish and English.



• Prepare and review applications, legal briefs, and responses to requests for evidence or notices of intent to deny.



• Represent clients at USCIS interviews and handle a limited removal-defense caseload.



• Guide legal staff, monitor critical deadlines, and maintain accurate filings and clear client communication.

Requirements

• Licensed attorney in good standing, eligible to practice before USCIS and immigration courts.



• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish is required to independently conduct consultations and prepare clients.



• Experience handling family-based and humanitarian immigration matters.



• Strong legal research, writing, organizational, and client communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar membership.



• Eligibility to practice before USCIS and immigration courts.

Skills

• Fluency in spoken and written Spanish.



• Ability to manage cases independently while working closely with staff.
