Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Projects Associate with 3 to 6 years of experience to join its team in Washington, DC. The candidate should have a strong background in domestic and international business transactions and corporate matters, particularly in the energy sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects involving renewable energy, energy storage, and power generation technologies.

Duties

• Advise clients on energy transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and project development.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
• Conduct thorough due diligence for M&A deals.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in relevant laws.
• Assist on other legal matters concerning project development and M&A as needed.

Requirements

• Experience with clients in the renewable energy market is helpful.
• Law firm mergers & acquisitions or project finance experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
