A law firm seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have 2nd chair trial experience, focusing on insurance defense and transportation law. This role requires exceptional communication skills and involves managing a complex caseload with senior trial counsel's assistance.

Duties

• Develop complex cases with the understanding that trial may be required.
• Take and defend trial depositions.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Assist in negotiating settlements and represent clients in court proceedings.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and prepare for trials.
• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
• Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress.
• Participate in client meetings and assist in the preparation of trial materials.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Prior experience in a law office environment is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in litigation processes and legal drafting.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
• Excellent writing skills with keen attention to detail in legal documentation.
• Proven ability to conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Bar admission in the state of Texas.
