A law firm seeks a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney in Washington, District of Columbia, to handle motor vehicle liability cases across Virginia, DC, and Maryland. The role involves managing high-volume litigation, conducting depositions, and preparing for and attending jury and bench trials. The firm provides robust support from pre-suit teams, seasoned trial partners, and dedicated case staff to ensure successful case development and client representation.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day handling of motor vehicle accident cases in Northern Virginia, DC, and/or Maryland.
• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, motions, and memoranda of law.
• Guide plaintiff clients through the case process and interact with expert witnesses for conferences and report drafting.
• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and in-court jury and bench trials.

Requirements

• Active member in good standing with the bar for the DC, Maryland, or Virginia Bar; Virginia bar admission is preferred.
• Ideally 2+ years of personal injury litigation experience, with a focus on motor vehicle or automobile liability matters.
• Ability to manage a high volume of litigation cases and take them to trial.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with excellent client service and communication abilities.

Education

• Law degree (J.D.) from a fully ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar membership in DC, Maryland, or Virginia.

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters involving Virginia, DC, and Maryland jurisdictions.
• Proficiency in case docket management software and litigation resources.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals and trial experience.
