Job Overview

A law firm seeks a senior-level Real Estate Associate for its Washington, DC office. The group consists of 14 lawyers and is consistently ranked in the highest tier by Chambers. The team represents developers, owners, and institutions in the Washington metropolitan region on large-scale commercial, residential, hotel, and mixed-use projects.

Duties

• Advise clients on complex commercial real estate transactions, including development, equity and debt financing, purchases, sales, public/private partnerships, and leasing.



• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents for large-scale commercial, residential, hotel, and mixed-use projects.



• Conduct due diligence and manage closing processes for high-value real estate matters.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of experience working on commercial real estate transactions.



• Must be currently licensed, or currently eligible to become licensed, to practice in Washington, DC.



• Demonstrated ability to handle complex transactions involving large-scale commercial, residential, hotel, and mixed-use projects.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in Washington, DC, or eligibility for admission.

Skills

• Strong writing and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.



• Ability to manage multiple complex matters simultaneously.
