Duties

• Handle all aspects of divorce and family law cases from inception through completion.
• Draft motions and cross motions for pendente lite relief and ex parte emergency motions.
• Manage the discovery process and prepare exhibits and documents for hearings and trials.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Develop collaborative strategies and advise clients regarding their best interests.
• Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

• 3-12 years of experience in multiple phases of litigation, with 5-7 years preferred.
• Admitted to practice in New York State.
• Proficiency in New York and federal civil and appellate procedures.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple cases.
• Impeccable attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis.
• Proficiency in using Westlaw.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with clients in stressful situations.
