A law firm seeks a Defensive Attorney for a full-time position in Silver Spring, MD. This role offers a hybrid work model, requiring on-site presence three days a week. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, collaborate with team members, and contribute to the firm's operations and success.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis of immigration law cases.
• Provide legal advice and guidance on immigration matters, including asylum and removal defense.
• Prepare and draft legal documents and correspondence with precision.
• Lead and manage multiple case files with strong organizational skills.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance legal strategies and case outcomes.
• Stay updated on evolving immigration laws and policies.

Requirements

• Active bar membership.
• 0-3 years of experience in immigration law.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• High level of attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in conducting thorough legal research using legal platforms.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active bar membership.

Skills

• Fluency in Spanish and/or other languages preferred.
• Additional experience in specific immigration law specialties is a plus.
