Duties

• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation claims from intake to resolution.
• Conduct legal research on statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and other parties.
• Prepare for trial by gathering evidence and coordinating expert witnesses.
• Represent clients at court depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Maintain detailed case management records using Litify.
• Communicate effectively with clients about case progress and options.

Requirements

• Proven experience in workers' compensation law.
• Strong understanding of statutory legal research and procedural law.
• Skilled in negotiation tactics and client communication.
• Prior experience in legal writing and contract drafting.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active North Carolina Bar License.
