Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Senior Associate or Counsel for its Florham Park, NJ office. This role involves managing a sophisticated caseload of family law and general commercial litigation matters under principal supervision. The ideal candidate will handle complex litigation, alternate dispute resolution, and the drafting and negotiation of various agreements.

Duties

• Conduct discovery, hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, and arbitrations.


• Collaborate with principals to develop and revise comprehensive legal strategies for complex cases.


• Negotiate and draft premarital, marital, and commercial settlement agreements.


• Provide clients with clear guidance on legal opinions, rights, and obligations.


• Perform administrative functions related to the practice of law and maintain current knowledge of legal changes.


 

Requirements

• Minimum of five years of litigation attorney experience.


• Admission to the New Jersey Bar is required.


• Co-admission to the New York Bar is required.


• Member in good standing of all applicable state bars.


• Knowledge of state law is essential.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey and New York.

• Ability to concisely and accurately communicate orally and in writing.

Benefits

• Competitive salary range of $165,000 to $200,000, potentially higher based on qualifications.
