Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its expanding Civil Litigation practice group in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside seasoned litigators, contribute to case strategy, and build strong client relationships within a supportive and inclusive environment.

Duties

• Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions.



• Communicate effectively with clients, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice.



• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and manage discovery processes.



• Collaborate with partners and associates to build and execute successful defense strategies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.



• Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina Bar.



• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.



• Ability to develop and execute defense litigation strategies with sound judgment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina.

Skills

• Strong interest in attending trial and utilizing litigation skills.



• Experience in medical malpractice and/or healthcare litigation is preferred, though transferable experience is welcome.



• Ability to effectively manage case responsibilities and exercise professional judgment.
