A law firm seeks a Casualty Litigation Attorney to join its team in New York City, NY. This role offers a hybrid or remote work arrangement within a mid-sized, regional practice specializing in general liability, professional liability, and toxic tort litigation. Duties

• Manage and litigate casualty, general liability, and professional liability matters from inception through trial or settlement.


• Prepare legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with superior written and oral communication skills.


• Conduct legal research, analyze case files, and maintain accurate records using case management systems.


• Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment, multitasking effectively while maintaining attention to detail.


 

Requirements

• Current and active Bar membership in good standing in PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, DC, and/or CT.


• Prior casualty litigation experience is preferred, though candidates with relevant transferable skills are considered.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and LexisNexis.


• Familiarity with Case/File Management systems and the ability to track billable hours.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in at least one of the specified jurisdictions (PA, NJ, NY, DE, MD, DC, or CT).
