Lateral Associate - Corporate: Capital Markets

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced lateral associate to join its Corporate: Capital Markets group in New York, New York. Candidates should have a minimum of two years of experience in a corporate group with a significant capital markets practice. This role is not open to current law students.

Duties

• Advise clients on equity and debt offerings, IPOs, and hybrid transactions.
• Develop strategies for complex securities offerings across various industries and regions.
• Counsel clients on corporate governance and disclosure matters, including ESG-related issues.
• Assist in novel capital markets transactions, such as sustainability and green bond offerings.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in a corporate group with a focus on capital markets.
• Proven ability to handle complex securities offerings.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
