Duties

• Evaluate liability, assess damages, and develop case strategy.
• Handle ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and private lien issues.
• Negotiate settlements with adjusters and defense counsel.
• Conduct targeted legal and factual research.
• Draft and manage interrogatories, requests for production, and admissions.
• Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions.
• Draft, file, and argue motions in Wisconsin circuit courts.
• Prepare persuasive briefs, pleadings, and substantive filings.
• Represent clients at hearings and other proceedings.
• Participate in all aspects of trial, including witness and exhibit work.
• Coordinate experts, manage discovery, and support case development.
• Occasional statewide travel for hearings, depositions, or client meetings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years civil litigation or personal injury experience.
• Familiarity with Wisconsin civil procedure and practice in Wisconsin circuit courts.
• Strong negotiation skills and comfort with complex medical and insurance issues.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
• Excellent writing, organization, and judgment.
• Experience and comfort with case management and Microsoft Office.
