A law firm in North Bethesda, Maryland, seeks an Associate Attorney to join its Employment Law and Litigation practice. The role involves working closely with senior attorneys on a sophisticated caseload, handling drafting, research, and trial support while developing expertise in employment matters.

Duties

• Draft demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery responses while conducting legal research and preparing memoranda on employment law issues.



• Assist in the preparation and review of severance and separation agreements, and support EEOC administrative matters.



• Support document production, discovery responses, and deposition preparation, including providing trial support such as exhibit and witness material preparation.



• Communicate effectively with clients and collaborate with senior attorneys on real matters to ensure high-quality legal service.

Requirements

• Active Maryland Bar license or eligibility for admission; bar membership in Virginia or Washington, DC, is a plus.



• Minimum of 3-5 years of law practice experience as a licensed attorney with significant exposure to employment matters and litigation.



• Hands-on experience drafting demand letters, motions, and pleadings, and supporting attorneys through production, discovery, and trial phases.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of Maryland.
