A law firm seeks an experienced Energy Regulatory Attorney in Rochester, NY. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with seasoned professionals on energy matters across the Northeast. Candidates must be licensed to practice in New York State or eligible to waive into the New York State Bar.

Duties

• Engage in administrative, siting, and permitting proceedings before relevant New York State agencies.
• Handle regulatory approval proceedings under Public Service Law and related statutes.
• Participate in ISO/RTO tariff processes and NYSERDA programs.
• Contribute to utility rate cases and M&A transactions involving energy assets.
• Assist in proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

Requirements

• Four to eight years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in administrative and regulatory proceedings.
• Experience with energy service companies (ESCOs) is preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York State or eligible for waiver.
