Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced lateral associate to join its Corporate: Restructuring & Special Situations group in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in corporate restructuring, including chapter 11 company side and secured creditor representations, out-of-court restructuring transactions, and capital solutions/liability management transactions.

Duties

• Represent clients in chapter 11 company side and secured creditor cases.
• Engage in out-of-court restructuring transactions.
• Draft court motions and credit documentation.
• Collaborate with a team of legal professionals on complex restructuring cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience in a law firm with a significant restructuring practice.
• Significant drafting experience in court motion practice and/or credit documentation.
• Current law students are not eligible for consideration.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
