Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate for its Boston, MA office. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of experience, with a strong preference for those based in or willing to relocate to Nashville. This role involves collaborating with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit to handle complex intellectual property matters.

Duties

• Manage a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including large domestic and international portfolios.



• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and resolve trademark and copyright disputes.



• Address domain name disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP) and lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts.



• Draft and respond to demand letters, provide litigation support, and manage copyright registrations.



• Negotiate and draft trademark and copyright licensing agreements and technology contracts.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of litigation experience, with trademark litigation and TTAB experience as a threshold requirement.



• Hold an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office of application, or commit to obtaining one promptly.



• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate legal strategies effectively.



• Show a demonstrated record of working well under pressure and handling multiple projects simultaneously.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction.
