Duties

• Handle a full-time caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence restraining orders.



• Meet with clients to assess legal needs, provide counsel, and develop comprehensive case strategies tailored to unique circumstances.



• Prepare, file, and argue pleadings, motions, and other court documents, including requests for temporary orders and post-judgment modifications.



• Represent clients in hearings, trials, and settlement conferences, utilizing strong written and oral advocacy skills.



• Conduct legal research, draft correspondence, negotiate settlements, and manage all case deadlines and court requirements.



• Collaborate with support staff, maintain clear communication with clients, and ensure accurate and confidential case files.

Requirements

• Active California Bar license in good standing.



• Strong foundation in California family law, including the ability to interpret statutes, case law, and court rules.



• Experience handling a range of legal issues related to divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence restraining orders.



• Proficiency in drafting and arguing motions, as well as conducting depositions and other discovery activities.



• Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritize tasks, and meet court and client deadlines in a fast-paced environment.



• High level of professionalism, ethical judgment, and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California.
