Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and recommendations, identifying pleading requirements and delegating tasks to paralegals.



• Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions, hearings, and other discovery events while providing thorough reports.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial as necessary while maintaining regular communication with paralegals and legal assistants.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in South Carolina or have pending South Carolina bar exam results.



• 1-5 years of practice experience, with prior insurance defense experience encouraged.



• Willingness to learn and work autonomously and within a team structure in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better.

Certifications

• Active South Carolina Bar license or pending results.
