Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Renewable Energy Construction Associate to support clients in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling construction-related legal matters, particularly negotiating Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) agreements for renewable energy projects. This role will involve working closely with attorneys in an Energy and Natural Resources practice group and advising clients on complex project development matters.

Duties:

• Negotiate and draft Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts for renewable energy projects.
• Provide legal support on construction and development matters involving renewable energy clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and business professionals on energy-related transactions and projects.
• Analyze legal issues, develop strategic recommendations, and communicate effective courses of action.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Exercise sound legal judgment in advising clients and resolving complex issues.
• Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Eight to ten years of experience preferred in renewable energy construction or related legal matters.
• Experience negotiating EPC agreements for renewable energy clients.
• Strong understanding of construction law, project development, and energy industry issues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and develop practical legal strategies.
• Active bar license in the state associated with the office location, or willingness to obtain admission promptly.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar admission or ability to obtain required admission.
