Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Edmond, Oklahoma, to join their civil litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience and a desire to develop strong litigation skills while taking on meaningful responsibilities early in their career.

Duties

• Assist with and handle various civil litigation matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and legal research memoranda.
• Participate in hearings, depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and management.
• Maintain organized files and consistently meet litigation deadlines.
• Travel for court appearances throughout Oklahoma as needed, with travel expenses reimbursed.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Oklahoma law license in good standing.
• Approximately 1-3 years of legal experience preferred.
• Litigation experience is helpful but not required if you have strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to take ownership of assignments and continue developing as a litigator.
• Ability to work full-time, in person, in the Edmond office.

Education

• Doctorate (Preferred)

Certifications

• Oklahoma Bar License (Required)
