Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel associate with over four years of relevant experience to join its Public Company Advisory group within the Capital Markets practice in Houston, TX. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters for a diverse public company client base.

Duties

• Independently manage daily securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters for a growing public company client base.



• Advise public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure requirements, and corporate governance across diverse industries.



• Collaborate closely with other members of the Public Company Advisory group to support complex transactions and regulatory matters.

Requirements

• More than four years of prior relevant experience in securities law, public company compliance, or corporate governance.



• Deep understanding of securities laws and direct experience advising public companies, including emerging growth and smaller reporting companies.



• Strong academic credentials and exceptional written, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.



• Experience advising clients across various sectors, including technology, healthcare, real estate, and consumer services.



• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities regarding regulatory compliance.
