Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Mid-Level Litigation Associate for its Birmingham, AL office. This partnership-track role supports a fast-paced, multi-faceted litigation practice group handling commercial, regulatory, and complex litigation matters. The position requires a candidate with 3-5 years of transferrable experience who is licensed to practice in Alabama and resides in the local area.

Duties

• Manage discovery processes and draft motions within complex commercial and regulatory litigation matters.



• Interface directly with clients and opposing counsel while maintaining high standards of client service.



• Collaborate with partners, senior counsel, and associates to prioritize and execute case strategies.



• Conduct legal research and prepare written materials with exceptional attention to detail.

Requirements

• Active member of the Alabama State Bar.



• 3-5 years of transferrable litigation experience.



• Residency in the Birmingham, AL area at or prior to the time of hire.



• Ability to work onsite full-time, with a minimum of three business days per week in the office.

Education

• Exceptional academic background with a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama.

Skills

• Strong experience with litigation procedure, including motion drafting and discovery management.



• Excellent legal research and writing skills.



• Effective communication skills with a deep commitment to client service.
