Duties

• Represent union-sponsored benefit funds in federal court litigation, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations.



• Handle delinquent-contribution litigation, post-judgment enforcement, and occasional bankruptcy proceedings.



• Manage matters independently with substantial responsibility and client relationship development.



• Perform work in traditional labor law, ERISA advice, or employment law practices as interests align.

Requirements

• Admitted and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; Massachusetts bar admission is preferred.



• Prior experience handling delinquent-contribution litigation for Taft-Hartley funds is preferred.



• Demonstrated commitment to representing workers, labor unions, and/or employee-benefit funds.



• Ability to manage complex matters independently with excellent organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction.

Skills

• Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.



• Strong client-service orientation and interpersonal communication skills.



• Proficiency in managing federal court litigation and arbitration processes.
