Duties

• Assess new files to establish action plans, budgets, and strategic recommendations for case management.



• Identify pleading requirements and delegate appropriate tasks to paralegals to ensure efficient workflow.



• Prepare discovery responses, manage document production, and attend depositions, hearings, and discovery events.



• Negotiate settlements, secure authority, and prepare for trial while maintaining regular communication with support staff.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia or have pending Virginia bar exam results.



• 1-5 years of practice experience, with prior insurance defense experience encouraged.



• Willingness to work autonomously and within a team structure while demonstrating initiative.



• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking capabilities.

Education

• Juris Doctorate or better degree required.

Certifications

• Active Virginia Bar license or pending bar exam results.
