Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Labor & Employment practice group in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate brings 5 to 7 years of experience counseling clients on employment issues, reviewing handbooks and contracts, and representing clients in single plaintiff and collective action litigation.

Duties

• Counsel clients on a variety of employment issues and review handbooks and contracts.


• Represent clients in single plaintiff and collective action litigation, including wage & hour, discrimination, and retaliation claims.


• Conduct legal research and draft persuasive written arguments for litigation and advisory matters.


 

Requirements

• Admitted to the Ohio Bar or in the process of being admitted, with good standing.


• 5 to 7 years of experience in employment law litigation and counseling.


• Superior academic record and a strong work ethic.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active Ohio Bar membership or pending admission.


 

Skills

• Excellent legal writing and research skills.


• Traditional labor experience, such as NLRB administrative and enforcement proceedings, grievances, and labor arbitration, is a plus but not required.
