Job Overview

A law firm seeks mid-level to senior associates to join its international trade practice in Washington, DC. The team represents companies across industries, including consumer products, technology, energy, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, defense, and manufacturing.

Duties

• Counsel clients on economic sanctions and export controls.



• Support transactions before the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).



• Conduct legal research and draft comprehensive written analyses.



• Collaborate with team members on complex cross-border matters.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in economic sanctions and export controls.



• Proven experience supporting CFIUS transactions.



• Admitted or eligible for prompt admission to the District of Columbia Bar.



• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

• Law degree from an accredited institution.

Certifications

• Active or eligible bar admission in Washington, DC.

Skills

• Strong analytical and research abilities.



• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.



• Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
