Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana. The successful candidate will manage their own caseload, working closely with the Judicial Foreclosure and Title Clearance Department. A minimum of five years of experience as an attorney, with expertise in real estate law and title review/clearance, is required. Candidates must be licensed in Louisiana.

Duties

• Conduct detailed reviews of judicial foreclosure documentation for compliance.
• Interpret loan documents to identify and address issues with clients.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Review title reports promptly and recommend solutions for title issues.
• Cure simple and complex title issues efficiently.
• Evaluate and rectify file-level issues through document review.
• Create and edit reports, opinions, and correspondence.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and team members.

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
• Minimum of five years of experience as an attorney.
• Experience in real estate, title, or financial services preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Membership in the Louisiana State Bar.

Skills

• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office and internet research.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage a portfolio of files independently.
• Familiarity with case and document management software.
