Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate for its Global Finance Group in Dallas to handle leveraged finance transactions. The role involves working on acquisition financings, refinancings, dividend recaps, and restructuring-related matters for borrower and lead arranger clients.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate complex transaction documents for syndicated lending and private credit deals.
• Lead financing transactions, primarily representing borrowers and lead arrangers.
• Manage acquisition financings, refinancings, and liability management transactions.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience with syndicated lending or private/direct lending.
• Experience representing either borrowers or lead arrangers is required.
• Must be admitted or eligible for admission to the bar in the state of the applying office.

Education

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar admission or eligibility in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills

• Strong experience with sponsor finance and LBO finance is preferred.
• Ability to manage complex, high-stakes financial transactions.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
