A law firm seeks an experienced Social Security Disability Attorney to join its Washington, DC office. This role allows attorneys to focus on advocacy and case management rather than business development, providing an opportunity to make a significant impact on clients' lives while working within a high-performing, collaborative team environment.

Duties

• Represent Social Security Disability clients through all stages of their claims, from initial application to final resolution.
• Prepare clients for hearings and advocate effectively on their behalf before Administrative Law Judges.
• Manage a substantial caseload while maintaining exceptional client service and communication standards.
• Develop legal strategies, prepare evidence, and build compelling cases in collaboration with case managers and support staff.

Requirements

• Hold a JD from an ABA-accredited law school and possess an active license in good standing with at least one US state bar.
• Demonstrate prior experience handling Social Security Disability hearings and successfully managing a high-volume caseload.
• Exhibit outstanding communication, advocacy, and client relationship skills, with strong writing and organizational abilities.
• Be self-motivated, performance-driven, and comfortable working in an office-based environment that values collaboration.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Existing Social Security Representative ID (preferred).

Skills

• Experience with cross-border matters is preferred, but experience with high-volume disability claims is desired.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage an active caseload efficiently.
• Strong case management and legal research capabilities.
