Duties

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients, including drafting and reviewing documents and preparing pleadings.



• Conduct legal research, analyze statutes and case law, and develop strategies for litigation, negotiation, and dispute resolution.



• Meet with clients, participate in negotiations, attend hearings or mediations, and collaborate with colleagues on firm-wide matters.



• Maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and contribute to business development and client relationship management.

Requirements

• Strong foundation in Law with the ability to interpret and apply statutes, regulations, and case law.



• Experience or interest in Labor and Employment Law, including counseling clients on workplace issues and compliance.



• Proficiency in providing clear, practical legal advice to diverse clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters.



• Advanced research skills to support case strategy, briefing, and ongoing client counseling.



• Effective negotiation skills for resolving disputes, drafting settlements, and advocating for client interests.



• Strong written and oral advocacy skills, including drafting motions, contracts, and client communications.



• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.



• Commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and respectful, inclusive collaboration with clients and colleagues.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active membership, or eligibility for membership, in the Washington State Bar.
