A law firm seeks a Multi-State Associate Attorney to join its fully remote practice, with the role based in Pawleys Island, SC. This position requires active licensure in Washington and at least one other state, with a strong preference for candidates holding additional bar memberships in states such as California, Colorado, or Texas. Duties

• Independently manage cases from initial intake through final resolution, ensuring timely and effective client advocacy.


• Develop and execute comprehensive legal strategies grounded in thorough factual investigation and legal analysis.


• Maintain substantive communications with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.


• Draft, review, and file complex legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, and security instruments.


• Appear at hearings, trials, and administrative proceedings as necessary to represent client interests.


 

Requirements

• Active licensure in Washington and at least one other state, with preference for additional bars in CA, CO, IA, ID, KS, NC, NE, OR, SC, TX, UT, VA, or WY.


• Minimum of three years of substantive legal experience in relevant practice areas.


• Ability to work self-directed and disciplined in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with a distributed team.


• Strong written and oral advocacy skills with a persistent, resourceful, and proactive approach to problem-solving.


 

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Washington and at least one other listed state.


 

Skills

• Experience with Medicaid eligibility, reimbursement, administrative appeals, civil litigation, probate, estate claims, or guardianships.


• Proficiency with Mac/Apple operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research applications.


• High level of organization, time management, and personal accountability in a remote work setting.


• Ability to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings, meetings, and other firm-sponsored events.
