Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its Los Angeles, CA office. The role involves handling complex IP disputes, TTAB proceedings, and portfolio management within the Financial Services & Capital Markets sector. Candidates with three to seven years of experience are preferred, with a strong preference for Nashville-based applicants who may also be considered for Los Angeles or virtual arrangements.

Duties

• Manage domestic and international trademark and copyright portfolios, including disputes and licensing agreements.



• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and domain name disputes under UDRP.



• Lead anticounterfeiting enforcement efforts, draft demand letters, and provide litigation support.



• Oversee copyright registration processes and negotiate technology and licensing agreements.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of experience in trademark and copyright litigation is preferred.



• Trademark litigation and TTAB experience is a strict threshold requirement.



• Active bar license in the state of application, or commitment to obtain one promptly.



• Ability to articulate legal strategies and handle multiple projects under pressure.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active state bar license required or in progress.
