The role involves collaborating with lawyers across a national platform to handle transactional and regulatory matters for insurers, reinsurers, and industry intermediaries.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents while analyzing insurance regulatory requirements for complex deals.



• Coordinate multijurisdictional workstreams and advise clients on regulatory approvals, licensing, and due diligence.



• Manage multiple matters in a collaborative environment, providing direct interaction with partners and clients.

Requirements

• 2-6 years of experience in corporate transactions involving insurance businesses and insurance regulatory matters.



• Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.



• Timely admission to the Bar of New York is required as a condition of employment.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction(s).

Skills

• Experience with mergers and acquisitions, investments, restructurings, reinsurance transactions, and joint ventures.



• Strong writing, analytical, drafting, and communication skills with sound judgment.



• Ability to manage multiple matters and navigate regulatory issues in a team-based setting.
