A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Estate Planning, Probate, and Trusts in Bellingham, Washington. This full-time, in-office role offers a unique opportunity to build a practice, develop client relationships, and potentially grow into ownership over time.

Duties

• Manage a caseload of estate planning, probate, and trust administration matters from intake through completion.
• Draft, review, and advise clients on estate planning documents such as wills and trusts.
• Handle probate administration, including court filings and distributions.
• Advise trustees and personal representatives on estate and trust administration.
• Manage related real estate and business transactional matters.
• Meet directly with clients and conduct signings.
• Provide informed counsel to clients with diverse family structures.
• Maintain organized and documented matters within a paperless, cloud-based practice.

Requirements

• Approximately two to five years of legal practice experience.
• Experience in estate planning and probate preferred.
• Experience drafting estate planning documents and managing client matters independently.
• Small-firm experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Washington State Bar license in good standing.
