A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Associate for its New York City office. The ideal candidate will join the 3rd through 5th year associate class, contributing to the Privacy and Data Security practice group.

Duties

• Prepare and review privacy policies and data protection agreements.
• Negotiate privacy and security provisions of contracts.
• Conduct privacy impact assessments and transactional due diligence.
• Manage incident response and regulatory investigations.
• Collaborate on privacy litigation and AI regulation matters.

Requirements

• Experience with international, federal, and state privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, BIPA, and others.
• Strong academic credentials and time management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility for domestic and overseas travel.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction preferred.
