Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Workers Compensation Attorney to join its growing department in Nashville, Tennessee. The selected candidate will manage a complex caseload spanning pre-litigation through trial, handling both pre-suit matters and assisting senior attorneys with filed claims. This role requires a dedicated professional capable of managing high-volume litigation while providing exceptional client service and advocacy.

Duties

• Manage day-to-day handling of cases from pre-litigation through litigation phases.


• Primarily handle pre-suit matters and assist senior attorneys once claims are filed.


• Draft and file litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery requests, responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.


• Guide clients through the case process and maintain clear communication.


• Interact with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting reports, and affidavits.


• Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.


 

Requirements

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in workers compensation law.


• Ability to manage a high volume of pre-litigation and litigation cases effectively.


• Experience with wage and hour claims is considered a plus.


• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals with superior writing and oral advocacy skills.


 

Education

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.


 

Certifications

• Active member in good standing with the Tennessee State Bar Association.


• Multiple state bar licenses are preferred.
