A law firm seeks a motivated litigation attorney with 3-5 years of civil litigation defense experience to join their team in Orlando, FL. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex legal matters, engage directly with clients, and collaborate with a high-performing team.

Duties

• Handle cases from inception through trial.
• Take and defend depositions, attend hearings and mediations, and argue motions.
• Interview witnesses and experts and negotiate with opposing counsel.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, memoranda, settlement agreements, and trial-related documents.
• Work directly with clients and collaborate with experienced attorneys on litigation strategy and case development.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in complex litigation, general liability, commercial litigation, or business litigation preferred.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgment, and a strong work ethic.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Alabama.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Alabama.
