Duties

• Advise health care clients on regulatory compliance, reimbursement, and operational matters.
• Litigate health care reimbursement disputes and regulatory compliance issues.
• Handle health information privacy, security, provider contracting, and payer-provider disputes.
• Provide legal counsel on Medi-Cal managed care and public health care provider matters.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of litigation experience with an interest in health care law.
• Admitted to practice law in California.
• Admitted to practice in Nevada or willingness to take the Nevada bar exam.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California.
• Active license to practice law in Nevada, or commitment to obtain licensure.

Skills

• Knowledge and experience in litigating health care reimbursement and regulatory compliance matters.
• Experience with arbitration and litigation of reimbursement disputes.
• Public agency experience is preferred.
• Experience with health care regulatory matters related to public health care providers and Medi-Cal is desired.
