A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Germantown, TN. The ideal candidate will have 0 to 3 years of litigation experience and a passion for family law. This role involves handling a variety of family law matters, working closely with the managing partner and clients as both a negotiator and trial attorney.

Duties

• Draft legal documents, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and summarize findings.
• Interview clients and witnesses.
• Prepare for and argue at hearings and trials.
• Assist first-chair attorneys with trial preparation.
• Analyze statutes, regulations, and case law.
• Organize case files and track deadlines closely.
• Move client cases toward resolution efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal rules of practice and procedure.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Comfortable under pressure and meeting deadlines.
• A team player with a positive, professional attitude.
• Sound judgment, discretion, and trustworthiness.
• Comfortable presenting in court, meetings, and on Zoom.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and cloud-based tools.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Tennessee; Mississippi licensing preferred but not required.
