Job Overview
A law firm seeks a dedicated Healthcare Associate in Cleveland, OH. The role involves collaborating with senior associates, partners, and clients to address the complex legal and business needs of healthcare providers and organizations. The associate will handle healthcare regulatory, transactional, compliance, and corporate matters, providing practical, business-focused advice.

Duties

• Advise healthcare providers and organizations on regulatory and compliance matters.
• Research and analyze federal and state healthcare laws and provide guidance.
• Assist with healthcare transactions, including regulatory aspects of business arrangements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for healthcare providers and organizations.
• Advise on healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute.
• Assist with HIPAA, patient privacy, data security, and compliance matters.
• Counsel on licensing, credentialing, reimbursement, and regulatory issues.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and programs.
• Identify and advise on legal and business risks affecting healthcare organizations.
• Prepare memoranda, correspondence, and other written work product.
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with attorneys across practice areas.
• Develop strong client relationships and provide responsive legal advice.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably in healthcare law or regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Active membership and good standing with the Ohio Bar, or eligibility to become admitted in Ohio.
