Duties

• Screen and investigate cases.
• Gather evidence and negotiate settlements.
• Prepare and file lawsuits.
• Handle all aspects of litigation and try cases.
• Research case law and statutes.
• Attend immigration interviews and hearings.
• Draft and finalize legal documents.
• Prepare notices and schedule depositions.

Requirements

• Previous litigation experience.
• At least one year of personal injury claim experience.
• Strong legal drafting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in English and French/Haitian Creole/Spanish desired.
• Ability to make timely decisions and meet deadlines.
• Maintain professionalism in challenging situations.
• Knowledge of court rules and filing procedures.
• Travel may be required within and outside central Ohio.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar certification required.
