Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trademark and Copyright Litigation Associate to join its team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will possess three to seven years of experience, with a strong preference for those based in or willing to relocate to Nashville. This role involves handling complex intellectual property matters, including TTAB proceedings, domain name disputes, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement, while collaborating closely with attorneys in the Financial Services & Capital Markets business unit.

Duties

• Manage a broad range of trademark and copyright matters, including large domestic and international portfolios.



• Handle proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) and disputes under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP).



• Draft and respond to demand letters, support litigation efforts, and manage copyright registrations.



• Assist with trademark and copyright licensing, technology agreements, and anti-counterfeiting enforcement initiatives.

Requirements

• Three to seven years of experience in trademark and copyright litigation is preferred.



• Trademark litigation and TTAB experience are threshold requirements for this role.



• Must hold an active bar license in the state corresponding to the office location or commit to obtaining one promptly.



• Demonstrate exceptional judgment, superior interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate legal strategies under pressure.

Education

• Excellent academic credentials from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active bar license in the relevant state.
