Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its litigation team in Colorado Springs, CO. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, working closely with partners from intake through resolution. This role offers the opportunity to develop litigation skills across construction, employment, real estate, and commercial matters.

Duties

• Manage a caseload from intake through settlement, trial, and/or appeal.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic analysis.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and collaborate with experts.
• Appear in state and federal court for hearings and trials.
• Represent clients in mediation and settlement negotiations.
• Advise clients on contract disputes and best practices.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Maintain accurate time records and meet billable hour expectations.

Requirements

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in construction, employment, or commercial litigation preferred.
• Proven ability to draft persuasive motions and manage discovery.
• Deposition and courtroom experience preferred.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Colorado bar license in good standing.
